Abortion clinic defense in ’90s
In regards to your June 15 article on “How attempts to shut abortion clinics were defeated,” I note some important omissions. First, the most recent mass demonstration was in 2004 when hundreds of thousands marched in Washington, D.C., in defense of abortion rights.

Also, although there is a photograph of the defense of the clinics in Colorado, the fact that hundreds, if not thousands, from states all across the country mobilized to say, “You’re not in Kansas anymore!” (to the Operation Rescue forces) was not mentioned. We soundly beat the antiabortion forces there. I am proud to say I was there for both these important events.

Enjoyed Black farmer coverage
I enjoyed your coverage of the protest of Black farmers in D.C. around the issue of discrimination and nonenforcement of the Pigford settlement.
