Miami vigil protests killing of teen by cop

MIAMI, October 30—A candlelight vigil here today protested the police shooting of 19-year-old Gracia “BG” Beaugris five days earlier. Among the 150 people attending were members of the Miami-Dade NAACP and Haitian American community activists. Beaugris was shot to death in an alley next to his apartment on his way home from the laundromat. Officer Christopher Villano stopped and frisked Beaugris and several others. According to witnesses and police reports, Villano had his left arm around Beaugris’s neck when he shot him three times using his right hand.
