DERRY, Northern IrelandThousands of Irish nationalists and their supporters marched here January 28 to mark the 35th anniversary of the Bloody Sunday massacre (above). In 1972, the British army opened fire on a civil rights demonstration, killing 14 protesters and wounding many others. An ongoing struggle by the families of the victims won a public inquiry into the killings. This year's march, with the slogan "Tell the Truth," demanded the full disclosure of the results of the investigation and justice for the slain.
