Janitors in Conshohoken, Pennsylvania, picket a Tower Bridge building where they worked until launching their strike for increased wages and benefits. The workers, who are members of Service Employees International Union Local 36, struck Shellville contractors August 20. The company has refused to sign an agreement with the union. Four days later janitors at another office building joined the stoppage. Other union members have joined the picket line outside Tower Bridge. Striker Ella Ofosu Aje, 55, spoke in defiance of company threats to fire the workers. "We are not going back until we get what we want," she said. "No justice, no peace!"
